IT Systems Engineer

Spring Technology are currently working in partnership with a leading, nationwide company to recruit a Systems engineer into their prestigious Manchester based offices

The Role

As a systems engineer you will provide 3rd line support of all the companies IT systems that make up the Managed Service. You will be delivering project and change work to support the upgrade of systems and programmes within the business

Responsibilities

*Support and maintain IT infrastructure and applications, working to Service Level Agreements

*Provide 3rd line support and implementation of technical change

*Create and maintain policies and procedures and the associated documentation

*Escalation of faults, failures and modification requests to relevant parties

*Deliver project work as part of a team and act as the technical escalation point for service desk staff

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will already have experience of working within a 3rd line technical support and delivery capacity

You will also have:

*Strong experience configuring and supporting MS Windows Server 2000-2016, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix XenApp, MS SQL Server

*Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications

*Good understanding of data networking within both a LAN/WAN and a TCP/IP environment

*Experience of working to ITIL processes

*Strong project delivery experience
