Our client, a leading gift and book provider are seeking an IT support & Network Engineer to join their Bladnoch facility near Wigtown, Newton Stewart.

This role will involve providing full IT support to the Bladnoch production facility while providing remote support for other locations. In this role, you will work closely with the IT manager and you will be planning and implementing new strategies to improve efficiencies across the whole company.

Key responsibilities:

* Provide a range of technical support to customers.

* Manage and implement IT projects to a high standard, this will include: server installs, site-to-site connectivity, hardware roll-outs, IT infrastructure.

* Provide support for all queries and projects

* Efficiently respond to enquiries and escalated tickets and resolve any server hardware or software issues.

* Liaise with third party hardware/software providers to guarantee prompt resolutions.

* Effectively manage all tickets and projects.

Experience/skills:

* Windows desktop 7,8.1 and 10

* Windows Server 2008, 2012 installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Hyper-V Virtualization installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Remote desktop services installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Exchange 2012, Exchange Online, Office 365 installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Active Directory and Group Policy Administration

* SQL Server installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Networking - Routers/switches/firewalls installation, operation and troubleshooting

* Connectivity - Experience specifying and deploying Fibre, MPLS, EFM, Vdsl.

* Network troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, IPSec

* Experience of remote monitoring and management software for IT services is an advantage.

This position will be based on site and flexibility is required as there is a possibility to be on-call at un-sociable hours.
