Construction Interface Engineer - Construction project experience, gas transmission/distribution assets,

We are looking for a Construction Interface Engineer to join our team of consultants at Experis. The role is to support the Project Engineer with site execution to ensure all site activities are safely, effectively & efficiently delivered in accordance with the Works Information. Proactive engagement throughout the site delivery phase to ensure the company maintains a commercially robust position.

The role of CIE will cover one of the most delivery critical elements: installation. This will be to provide expertise and guidance on all Construction site activities across a portfolio of diverse and complex projects from Mobilisation through to delivery across all asset types. To support the Project Engineer in the assurance of design build quality, efficiency and safety of the company's MWC proposed solutions.

Responsibilities:

* Understanding site work programmes, timescales & interdependences i.e. design, materials, plant, equipment, subcontractors.

* Proactively monitoring contractor progress to identify issues early.

* Facilitate excellent co-ordination between all parties to ensure right outcome for the company. Develop strong collaborative relationships between PC & Occupiers Reps (i.e. Persons accountable for 'Safety from the System' and Commissioning Engineer) ensuring there is adequate support provided.

* Enact the role of Engineers Representative or Project Supervisor.

* Familiar with Forms of Contract i.e. NEC3 ECC, etc.

* Review PC site quality plan, ensure adequacy of hold and witness point, and relevance of supporting documentation i.e. drawings, installation manuals etc

* Implement QMS and carry out sensible monitoring & reporting#

* Ensure compliance with Tech Specs, Policies & Procedures, Guidance Notes, Handbooks

* Ensure robust drawing/documentation management system established & maintained i.e. recording, filing, marking up, transmittals, handover

* Support quality handover of construction drawings from Site Manager to the Commissioning team

* Observe that the PC Site Representative is pro-active in discharging their duties under the CDM regulations

* Monitor suitability of, and compliance with, the PC Construction Phase SHES Plan

* Sensible monitoring of site construction activities to confirm effective PC Safety Management System is in place.

* Sensible monitoring via risk based approach to quality check RAMS

* Monitor timely issue & quality of Request for NRO/SCO Requests

Requirements:

* Good leadership, influencing, customer orientation and communication skills, providing the ability to support and communicate effectively with staff at all levels

* Valid current UK Driving Licence

* Construction project experience in high pressure gas transmission/distribution assets, i.e. pipelines, offtakes and above-ground installations.

* Construction experience in the gas/oil/utility sector including civil, mechanical & electrical disciplines

* Detailed understanding of appropriate legislative requirements

* Educated ideally to HNC/HND level or equivalent, leading to Chartered status or similar in the field of engineering.

* Ideally supported by recognised training or qualifications on the Health, Safety and Environmental Management

* Other Contractors

Details:

* Location: East Midlands (multi site travel required)

* Duration: permanent (consultancy basis)

* Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits
