This company is a small technology team with 2 remote and 3 office based people in their office in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, West Yorkshire. The 5 of them support each other and they are a happy team with a strong work/life balance. They enjoy a relaxed, non hand-holding environment where they come together as a team to discuss projects and then each work on their own areas with input from anyone else on the team whenever requested. They often work from home and use slack to chat about projects.

They are looking to hire a back end developer at HLRLookup to join their small team to assist with their core services. Specifically, they are developing new code with node.js (typescript based) and fixes to legacy code. Their stack is designed for speed and throughput efficiency and makes good use of AWS resources including their managed Kubernetes service.

You'll be comfortable with the Linux command line, experienced with node.js and SQL queries. You've worked on medium to large sized code bases and are looking for a comfortable position with a small team.

£22.5k per annum based on 3 days (or 24 hours), flexible to suit the times you like to work. This is equivalent to £37.5k full time at a pro rata rate.

You can work 3 days or spread out across the work week if you prefer. For example if you have children you might work 9:30am-2:30pm so you can drop off and pick up children from school every day.

You will be based from their LS7 Leeds office. You can work purely from the office or a mixture of remote/office based days. Most of them work remotely for a couple of days a week and arrange to all be in the office on the same days so it's easier to discuss ideas. They have parking available and the office is a short walk from a bus stop. There isn't a suitable train station nearby without catching a connecting bus.
