About Our Client

Our client is an exciting new company that's looking to change how the public views and uses the aviation industry. Their mission is to make air travel personal, on-demand and carbon-free. 

They are pushing technological boundaries and developing novel solutions, so have a significant amount of testing activity ahead of them to ensure their aircraft is of the highest quality. 

As such, our client is looking for a Software Engineer to join their highly-skilled team in Bristol and help them do amazing things in the aerospace sector and break the mould of personal travel. 

As a Software Engineer, you will: 

- Develop the platform avionics, control systems and ground/cloud systems for our client's ground-breaking personal aircraft 
- Create software that is at aerospace standards 
- Analyse and specify requirements 
- Undertake GUI, embedded systems and cloud development 
- Develop internal tools that will aid engineering 
- Assist with the build and fault-finding elements of the project 

To be considered as a Software Engineer, you will need: 

- Software engineering experience, ideally around three years' 
- Proficiency in at least two object-oriented programming languages 
- GUI development experience 
- Embedded C development experience 
- Sensor interfacing experience 
- Linux experience 
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline, ideally a Master's or PhD 

Experience of any of the following would be beneficial to your application: aerospace standards, developing with UML, developing in an agile framework, Continuous Integration, building and testing systems on UAS, web technologies, AWS and databases, autocoding from Matlab and/or Simulink. 

An understanding of machine learning techniques would also be equally desirable.
