Senior Naval Architect- £40,000-45,000- Portsmouth

A leading security consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced Naval Architect who is able to step up into a Team Leader position to join their team based in the South East on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for a team of 10-15 engineers ranging from graduates through to senior principles and you will lead the development of the competency of your team in line with individual development needs and business requirements.

In addition to this as a Senior Naval Architect you will also have responsibility for delivery of bids, projects, investments etc. as defined by the business.

This is a fast paced environment with challenging timescales which demands resilience in dealing with many conflicting tasks at one time for a variety of customers.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

* Supporting the delivery of productivity targets in line with targets

* Responsible for leading and facilitating positive change within the business.

* Improving business delivery through technical excellence by performing a variety of project, bid and investment tasks.

* Develop an internal and industry network to enable transfer of best practice into the team.

Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:

* A chartered engineer or equivalent demonstrable experience - Naval Architecture, Marine Design Engineering

* Experience of developing and line managing others and building effective teams

* Leadership and capability development of teams to meet specific objectives

* Stakeholder engagement and leadership to ensure successful delivery of complex projects
