Lead PHP Developer

Spring Technology are currently working in partnership with an exciting new digital organisation in Sheffield to recruit an established Lead PHP Developer who will utilise the latest technologies to develop new solutions and improve current systems.

The Role

As a Lead PHP Developer you will define and build the customer-facing side of our client's business whilst supporting a team of junior developers on creating exciting new features to a fast growing digital platform.

The Responsibilities

*You will be working as part of a small agile team using modern web development methodologies, including agile and continuous delivery.

*Bringing innovative new features to life, from initial design through to writing well structured modular code, automated tests, and deployment.

*You will also work closely with other teams around the office, including product managers, marketing and customer support.

The Requirements

*A high level of knowledge of PHP 7, and a modern framework such as Laravel or Symphony.

*Experience building and using scalable APIs.

*Familiarity with modern devops, including deployment pipelines.

*Fluency with at least one major Javascript framework (ideally Vue, but experience in React or Angular would also be applicable).

*An understanding of scalable frontend architecture

*Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Grunt/Gulp, Webpack, Docker, Git etc.
