Applications are invited for this fixed-term post as an E-learning and web application engineer in the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education, School of Health Sciences, Division of Pharmacy and Optometry based in the Stopford Building at the University of Manchester.
CPPE has been at the University of Manchester for the last 25 years providing educational services to the NHS pharmacy workforce.
This Role
You will join a small and well-established IT team within CPPE. The team works in a flexible and agile way to meet the changing needs and priorities of CPPE, which has grown greatly over the past 18 months due to securing additional externally funded contracts. The IT development and support team work closely together on projects and as such the post holder will have exposure to a whole range of different applications, methods and technologies for the duration of the post.
The nature of the funding for this post means that it is fixed term in line with the external funding. The CPPE contract is due to extend beyond March 2019 with the likely hood that this post will also extend.
Specific Role Requirements
In addition to the Person Specification criteria detailed in this document you must have the following:
Background in software development for the web/mobile
Experience with developing and maintaining C#/VB .NET systems
Ability to communicate technical ideas to technical and non-technical colleagues
An understanding of education technology
Desirable Knowledge/Experience
Experience of working with Storyline
Experience of working in a Higher Education environment
Knowledge of software deployment and testing processes
