My client based in Cape Town are currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure manager to head up their full Infrastructure space from networking all the way to Cloud environments.

With a big focus on driving technology within the company and its separate departments they work in various spaces from development to networking and cloud. The environment they have is a hybrid mix of both Microsoft and Opensource based technologies.

They also hold one of the largest and most complex networking systems within South Africa meaning a high level of technical exposure to various products within network infrastructure is vital for this position.

What you will do:

You will work in a senior management position over seeing everything related to the infrastructure space from systems engineering to networking and cloud. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge within 3 main areas, those being:

* IT Network Infrastructure (Cisco mainly)

* Storage and backup exposure.

* Strong experience within Iaas and PaaS using various cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure (this should co-inside with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM and Xen)

Your team will be made up of 16 technical specialists who are experts in their fields, your key team being within the Network space. You will not only manage that team but also help to design, architect and implement various technical changes within each department and a strong technical knowledge of each area is vital.

Requirements:

* Experience in a management position of 5 years is desirable with an extended 3 years in senior IT management

* Relevant qualifications (A+, N+, CCNA, MCSE, ITIL)

* Strong interpersonal/leadership skills

* Experience with Infrastructure networking on a large, enterprise scale.

* Cloud experience is beneficial with AWS or Microsoft Azure.

* Degree within a relevant IT discipline is beneficial.

* Experience in multiple areas of IT Infrastructure such as operating systems, networking, cloud and security.
