Frontend Software Developer - Contract

Based in the Dublin office, they are seeking to expand our Risk Applications team with the addition of a Frontend Software Developer - Contract. With a specific focus on the risk and analytics platform utilising some of the most sophisticated models and 'big data' solutions in the industry, the successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, technologically superior environment where individual autonomy, responsibility and drive are recognised and supported. they value self-starters, and encourage individual innovation and enthusiasm in all of the technology roles.

The technological platform is constantly evolving as they apply new and emerging technologies to our expanding business. The nature of the business demands high levels of agility, which in turn requires the team to be technically superior. The successful candidate will be required to develop a solid understanding of the re/insurance domain as well as quickly learn and contribute to the technology tools employed by the team such as .NET Core, React, Redux, Material Design and GraphQL.

Core Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

* ? Design and develop web applications, using React/Redux and other JavaScript technologies and tools.

* ? Design and develop applications that are easy to use and deliver a great user experience.

* ? Collaborate with all stakeholders in establishing, refining, and documenting application functional and non-functional requirements.

The successful candidate must have:

* ? Strong core web development skills e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JS Libraries and tools.

* ? Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React / AngularJS / jQuery / Webpack

* ? Strong UI/UX design skills

* ? Enterprise development experience on systems including integrated cross-platform systems and continuous delivery approaches.

* ? General problem-solving mentality, with the ability to pick up new technologies.

* ? Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with different teams on solutions for a variety of different business, code and data related problems.

Would be advantageous to have:

* ? Experience with Typescript / Webpack / React / Redux / GraphQL.

* ? Experience with .Net platform such as C# and Asp. Net Core

* ? Experience or knowledge of BDD / TDD tools such as Specflow, Cucumber, Jest and Nightwatch

Other useful experience includes:

* ? Knowledge and experience implementing Google's Material Design system.

* ? Experience with latest cloud technologies (AWS / Azure), specifically serverless technologies and FaaS such as Lambda, Azure functions, OpenFaas.

* ? Experience with NOSQL databases such as MongoDb.

* ? Experience with deploying applications to containerized environments (Docker / Kubernetes).
