We are recruiting for a high performing & detail orientated Planning & Delivery Manager, to sit within our Finance & Actuarial Systems (FAS) business unit. This role is pivotal in leading the delivery of all Phoenix System Change programmes, from pipeline to benefit delivery. You will also be managing Systems Development & Delivery teams in support of these major programmes, projects & organisational change initiatives. This role is a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity, specifically delivering on critical Business As Usual (BAU) activity within Phoenix Group.
Key Accountabilities Lead the delivery of pipeline releases, co-ordinating key actions within your team so all planned releases and schedules are effective to achieve agreed deliverables. It is essential that these are of required standards of quality within specified constraints of time and cost, providing a quality service to Business led Programmes and Projects. Take part in the decision making on how these should look agreeing with the Implementation Manager any change to existing agreements/plan. Plan FAS team work using modern Project management standards and tools adhering to the agreed Project Life cycle. Manage Systems Development & Delivery Managers so that they are familiar with what is required of them and that lessons learnt from previous releases are adhered to. Work with Business Project Managers agreeing scope, key milestone dates and dependencies for the successful delivery of their wider projects. Develop risk management and quality assurance disciplines and reporting with key projects, ensuring that a rigorous risk management process is followed.

Key Requirements Management of complex and high risk, high value projects, especially with multi-project releases from agreement of requirements to delivery into live. Strong knowledge & delivery evidence of multiple programme management methodologies; a Prince II qualification or equivalent is beneficial in demonstrating this. High levels of attention to detail, especially in complex financial project planning & delivery. A confident & clear communicator in situations where senior stakeholders buy in is a must.
