Field Technical Services Manager

Up to £68k base + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Field Based - UK Wide

Our client is a highly established market leader who deliver a range of services to establishments throughout the UK and overseas. Through a period of change, the company are looking to transform the way their Field Support Team works, and are moving from a regional based set-up, to a single UK-wide set-up. The Field Technical Services Manager will initially be required to deliver exciting transformation and change within the business.

You will be taking responsibility for the Field Technical Services Team which consist of over 55 engineers, and 5 Team Lead's. You will build and shape the team into a single UK-wide force, introducing new processes and ways of working to create a more standardised operation across the UK. Your typical week will involve being on the road and travelling across the UK 3 days a week, and then spending 2 days a week working remotely (this can be from home). There will be a need to be at their HQ in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on occasions, especially in the early period.

The successful candidate may have come from an MSP background with nationwide experience, managing teams of 40 and above. Ideally you will have worked on large scale transformations within tight timescales, and should also be commercially aware and able to manage a cost centre. An individual who has worked in pressured, and changing environments is going to be able to deliver these transformations successfully.

The hiring manager is looking for a passionate, driven and ambitious individual who at some point will have the ability to move into a more senior role at the appropriate time in the future. A candidate who will deliver strong leadership and change management with a solid customer focus and a commitment to delivering excellence and creativity with a focus on continuous improvement is ideal.

Key Skills / Requirements / Responsibilities

-Leading and Managing Field Based Teams (ideally on a National Scale or bigger)

-Delivering Transformation / Change Management / Service Transformation / Dept. Transformation

-Management of 50+ Engineers, and 5 Team Leads

-Process Improvement and Introducing Standardisation

-Extremely Strong People Management (Motivating, Influencing, Team Building)

-Delivering consistency and driving improvements across Service Operations

-Managing remote service delivery teams (in India)

-Deliver strong leadership - inspiring and motivating teams

-UK-Wide Travel 3 Days per week / Remote Based working 2 Days per week

-Travel to customer locations UK-Wide (mostly London, The Midlands and Northern England)

-A 'change agent' from a field service background is desired

-An individual with ambition who is able to progress into a more senior position in the future

This role may suit individuals that have held the following roles; Field Support Manager, IT Change Manager, IT Transformation Manager, Field Service Manager, Service Delivery Manager, IT Services Manager, IT Delivery Manager, Technical Services Manager, Head of Field Support, Head of Service Delivery, Head of Change, Head of Transformation, Head of Field Engineering.
