Content Designer Salary: £35,200-£40,249 Location: Titchfield and Newport Contract Until: 31/03/2021 Play your part in delivering a cutting edge "digital first" census in 2021. This truly unique work reaches every household and individual in England & Wales, and your work will help shape public policy and service provision for at least a decade.

You'll be working to scope, write, edit, proof, clear and publish content that meets user needs, as well as reflects user journeys and preferences, for a range of channels and audience groups. You'll also research, develop and analyse audience insight to ensure all content is effective and constantly evaluated. 

We are driving transformation change through new technologies and ways of working in a modern, technically focused, data driven organisation. Over the next 3 years we're scaling up to deliver the 2021 Census, the highest traffic service in government with over 25 million users. We're offering the opportunity to work on the latest scalable digital technologies, to ensure this incredibly high-profile project meets the needs of the widely diverse user groups. 

Role responsibilities will include but aren't limited to: 
improving the user experience by ensuring content meets appropriate production standards (eg plain English, optimised for digital channels and in line with house style, working with the user experience team to ensure it is accessible) 
leading the work to evaluate content, using analytics data and user feedback to interpret content performance and identify improvements 
capturing learnings and develop the evidence and insight base on key audiences 
managing the testing and iteration of content with target users, ensuring that it meets their needs 

Person Specification 
You'll: 
have experience of working as part of an agile delivery team, and utilise an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery 
be an expert in stakeholder relationship management - identifying, analysing, managing and monitoring relationships with and between stakeholders. You'll be able to communicate with stakeholders clearly and regularly, clarifying mutual needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of impacts whilst focusing on user needs 
be an expert in user-centred content design, designing content to meet user needs and making complex language and processes easy to understand
