A successful and rapidly expanding Cloud solution services company specialising in the implementation and support/management of Cloud based infrastructure and DevOps environments is looking for a smart 1st /2nd line Support Engineer with current AWS or Azure knowledge or someone who has spent their own time learning about Cloud technology and want this to be a key area of their future. You will be joining their rapidly expanding team of support specialists which is looking to double in size to meet demand for their services, so you will be one of a number of new people joining and bringing new ideas to this vibrant, global team.
First and foremost are a great, customer service orientated personality and attitude. You will have at least 1-2 years technical support background with knowledge of PC and/or server support, Scripting and/or Automation and some networking (routers, firewalls, TCP/IP etc.), MS Office, Outlook and Active Directory and some of the following: cloud based solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and common cloud based solutions like Office 365), Scripting (Powershell, Python, perl or similar), DevOps / Automation, SCCM / Build/ Packaging, Monitoring Software, Virtualisation (VMWare, VSphere, Horizon).
Your team will own end-to-end problems covering Desktop and Windows Server environments in a structured, efficient manor making knowledge of ITIL expected and experienced gained in or working with a banking, Fund Management or similar, highly demanding environment would be expected. Exposure to tracking, automation and collaboration tools (Jira, Git, Ansible, Salt etc.) would be useful but training can be provided.
