The Business Analyst (IA) sits within the Cognitive Science and Automation (CSA) Group, an exciting new initiative recently launched to deliver against Schroders vision: to become a data-driven intelligent enterprise. The primary objective of introducing cognitive technologies (including Robotic Process Automation) into Schroders is to transform the business towards a new way of working with front to back office innovation, with the business operating as agents for change and driving both operational excellence & adoption of emerging technologies to increase scale, speed and manage risk.  This role will sit within the Global Practice (GP) of the CSA group, which will be responsible for Schroders' digital workforce - they will configure, run, optimise and manage business processes and the related operational change. GP will engage and collaborate with other business teams within Schroders such as compliance and risk, business consulting, data and insights, in addition to the Operating Center (OC) and Global Technology - in order to identify, prioritise and automate business processes. Upon moving the automated processes into production, the OCs are then responsible for the ongoing ownership, operation and optimisation of the digital workforce. Overview of role The Business Analyst (IA) works closely with other GP members and the Business in support of Intelligent Automation, to implement the Schroders digital workforce. Over time, this CSA resource will build out strong technical configuration experience with relevant CSA toolsets including RPA, OCR and Machine Learning. Responsibilities will extend to:       •     Conducts the detailed process assessment, utilizing the process assessment framework
      •     Plan and execute automation sprints
      •     Conducts quality control activities as per the delivery lifecycle
      •     Collaboration with the CSA GP and other OC's on process automation opportunity identification
      •     Engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders, across Technology and Business, including process SMEs
      •     Analysing and solving complex business problems with speed and efficiency, developing technology solutions to these problems and managing configuration project deliverables throughout the automation lifecycle
      •     Collaborating with other GP and OC members to ensure configuration priorities are aligned to overall strategy and business needs
      •     Supporting the creation of Process Design and Solution Design Documents Essential Skills       •     Undergraduate degree in Science / Technology / Engineering
      •     Basic understanding of Lean and Agile principles, frameworks and tools, and the ability to apply these principles in RPA solution design
      •     Ability to understand RPA requirements and translate them into technical solutions
      •     Familiarity with process improvement and transformation programmes of work
      •     Ability to demonstrate critical thinking; carry out objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to inform decision making
      •     Understand the importance of tracking, managing and documenting all configuration issues to ensure overall project cohesion and appropriate risk management
      •     Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Desirable Skills       •     Experience with RPA tools (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UIPath)
      •     Lean Six Sigma qualification
