Spring Technology is currently looking for an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead. This is a 3 month extendable contract on an estimated 12+ month project, based in Leeds.

Product Tech Lead

The Product Technical Lead is responsible for the overall design of the ServiceNow application, ensuring that the application meets its functional and non-functional requirements. The individual would typically be an experienced software engineer, expert in one or more development languages and is therefore able to set the direction of the design, development and methods used by the ServiceNow Product Delivery team.

As a Product Technical Lead working as part of a dedicated ServiceNow Product Team, you will be responsible for governing the development with consideration of through-life operation such as operational support and management, integration, change and extension, migration and re-use while protecting the live estate

Your main responsibilities as a Product Technical Lead will involve

* Working with the Product Owner you will drive innovative and evolutionary architectures while maintaining a balance with customer needs and future proofing of the long term solution. Identifying risk to the product is equally as important as driving opportunity.

* Being responsible for the product and driving quality through peer reviews, implementing best practices and sharing your knowledge across the team of the Product Engineers.

* Champion the use of Agile and DevOPS best practices to drive continuous delivery at an ever increasing pace while maintaining the high levels of service to an "always on" platform.

* Communicating with suppliers to understand their own roadmaps and how can make the most of emerging technologies and features from the platform as well as being viewed as an industry expert to our customers.

As a team working together to meet the primary goal - Customer Satisfaction met through continuous service improvement in terms of improving performance, reducing costs and improving the customer experience

The role will have accountability for the technical aspects pertaining to the delivery of Products in scope.

This role will direct technical standards, provide product architecture and technical roadmap, ensure the right governance around what we do and how we do it. They will make sure the technical capability performs to very high standards and be accountable in the event that something goes wrong. They will protect the Product Teams from technical debt.

They will take responsibility for building really strong technical standards and making sure that they clearly understand their product's technical roadmap and architecture. They will also build technical level relationships with key suppliers and manage these in a responsible and ethical manner. They will share the technical context and challenge and will seek partnership and alignment of vision and goals.

They will be accountable for the technical solution delivered and will direct the solution that is built and maintained. A key responsibility will be in designing for support as well as designing to meet customer requirements. They will recognise that business value comes from various technical capabilities.

Essential

* 5+ years proven experience in designing, implementing and supporting solutions on the ServiceNow platform

* Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS

* Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using Javascript: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, etc.

* Experience developing ServiceNow solution strategies and governance models

* Experience in building co-operative relationships and fosters an environment in which everyone's opinion is valued

* Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely

* Excellent understanding of the ServiceNow data model (including task hierarchy, CMDB hierarchy, user groups and roles, data relationships)

Desirable

* Understanding of ISO 20000 & ITIL Framework

* Experience in providing on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring that supports individuals development needs and career aspirations

* Experience of working within bid teams in the production of bid responses and proposals

* Understanding of the SIAM Tower Model

* Experience of working in a domain separated Product environment

* Experience of working with Product in an On-Premise environment

* Certified ServiceNow System Administrator and Implementation Specialist
