Unrivalled opportunity to join the market leading media organisation who are looking for a Java Developer with J2EE / Java 8 / JMS / Microservices experience.

Key Technical Experience required:
Extensive system development knowledge with Java, JMS, J2EE, Java 8
Build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Team City, Gradle.
Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Applied knowledge of multiple software development methodologies. e.g. XP, Scrum
Applied knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
Applied knowledge of the principles of Test Driven Development (TDD)
Applied knowledge of principles of Business Driven Development (BDD)
Experience of working with APIs (REST etc.)
Technical Experience preferred (or the opportunity to learn):
Active MQ, Kafka, Camel, noSql databases
Containerisation and orchestration tools such as, Docker, Rancher and Kubernetes.
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Performance and Resilience testing.
Experience of working collaboratively with non-technical business staff
Design, develop and test new micro-service applications with Java / JMS / J2EE / Java 8
Collaborate with other developers, sharing and receiving knowledge.
Create applications that scale predictably, facilitate development across multiple developers and teams and promote maintainability and extensibility.
Maintain and contribute to software delivery principles and guidelines based on internal Sky standards and industry best-practice.
