A well-established office furniture manufacturer operating within a 28,000 square foot premises located in Upper Clatford, Andover is seeking a Machinist Operative to join its expanding team. The Machinist Operative will be provided with full training will be given on the use of all required tools and machinery. You will enjoy free on-site parking, a bonus scheme and a relaxed dress code.The company designs and manufactures office pods, booths and screens with bespoke, sleek and modern designs. All products adhere to all relevant British Standards and European Directives and have been tested by FIRA. The company is also certified to PEFC.
As the Machinist Operative, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the manufacture of office pods, booths and screens. This will be across one or more of the production departments which include the aluminium shop, powder coating, wood shop, assembly, covering, bespoke manufacturing and quality assurance.Using hand tools and heavy machinery in some departments such as pillar drills, chop saws, powder coating equipment and milling machines for which full training will be given. To be a successful Machinist Operative you will have the following skills and experience:
Previous manufacturing experience.Previous experience in one of the following areas: Joinery.Powder coating.Machine operation. In return, the Machinist Operative will receive a pay rate of £7.83 - £10.00 per hour dependant on experience.
Late shifts are also available (2 pm to 10 pm).
