The responsibilities include:

* Developing simple and complex reports including list, crosstabs and charts with drill-thru capabilities utilising Cognos Analytics 11 / Reports Studio / Cognos Framework Manager

* Building dashboards using traditional and active reporting techniques

* Updating and enhancing existing framework manager & OLAP models

* Transforming data for reporting purposes

* Enhancing existing reports based on new requirements

* Performance tuning of reports, models and infrastructure

* Assisting in gathering requirements

* Interacting with business sponsors to plan and scope timescales

* Producing documentation

* Educating / training colleagues on report writing techniques

Knowledge & Experience

* Cognos 11 Analytics (Experience in a professional software development capacity)

* Able to develop and deliver static/active reports and dashboards.

* Framework Modelling

* Report Studio Writing - Standard and Active

* Dashboards

* Cubes / Dynamic Cubes / DMR

* Redshift DB

* Excellent SQL skills essential (both interpreting and writing) Management Studio - Tables, Queries, Views, Indexes

* Training and education of non-technical usersPersonal

* Able to communicate effectively with other team members and business

* Ability to think through solutions quickly and understand issues

* Highly motivated with an ability to work independently

* Ability to perform data analysis and troubleshoot data integrity issues
