Oracle DBA contract

A leading IT company are looking to add a multifaceted Oracle DBA as soon as possible to their data team for a 6 month contract with a high possibility for extension beyond this.

Role: Oracle DBA

Duration: 6 months daily rate contract

Location: West of Ireland

X-Factor: High probability of extension

Start date: March 2019

Day to Day You will be joining the current IT function as a Oracle DBA expert contributing to all phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in defining the problem, propose and refining the solution. You will also play an important role in the development of solution, where you can shape implementation from the ground up. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that will enable the company to meet their changing needs.

Skills/Experience: 3 years+ experience delivering solutions, working with:

* Oracle DBA (10c, 11g, 12c) on IBM AIX and Linux

* RMAN

* RAC and OEM

* PL/SQL

Added bonus:

* Performance tuning

Type of person for the Oracle role:

This role will suit a great communicator who is also comfortable technically, ability to work independently and drive development on projects is also advantageous.
