Software Engineer / Java Developer (Real-time Spring JUnit Java 8 Messaging). Would you like to be challenged, working on complex and interesting real-time systems? City based trading firm is seeking a talented Software Engineer to create and maintain Java server side components which support a highly scalable mission critical real-time financial trading platform.

As a Software Engineer / Java Developer you'll work alongside mobile app (iOS / Android) and JavaScript Developers to provide server side support for trading platform functionality across various systems including streaming pricing, trading, charting as well as a wide range of platform features and tools which are available to retail customers via desktop and mobile trading platforms.

Requirements:

*Strong core Java design and development skills, ideally including Java 8

*Good knowledge of asynchronous messaging, JUnit, Maven, Spring framework

*Experience with real-time systems

*Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

*Nice to have: native iOS or Android; Reactive programming, integration with 3rd party APIs
