About the Company

 

Our client is an exciting new company that's looking to change how the public views and uses the aviation industry. Their mission is to make air travel personal, on-demand and carbon-free.  

 

They're pushing technological boundaries and developing novel solutions, so they have a significant amount of testing activity ahead of them to ensure their aircraft is of the highest quality.

 

As such, they are looking for a Test Engineer to join their highly-skilled team in Bristol.

The Role

 

As a Test Engineer, you will test a range of complex mechanical and electrical systems for our client's aircraft.

 

You will perform scale, component, system and aircraft level tests and prepare test plans, procedures, risk assessments and reports.

 

Additionally, you will:

 

- Analysing and reporting on technical data

- Performing conceptual and detailed designs of test rigs and fixtures

- Working with other teams to understand their test requirements and future test activities

- Liaising with external test houses

 

About You

 

To be considered as a Test Engineer, you will need:

 

- Relevant aerospace engineering experience

- Experience of working in a test organisation and/or department

- To be highly numerate with the ability to process and understand large datasets

- At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) at grade 2:1 or above in aerospace, mechanical engineering or equivalent

 

Experience of the following would be beneficial: certifying hardware to aerospace standards, flight test activities, CAD software, managing a package of work to defined timescales and costs, and model building activities and piloting.

 

Excellent IT skills would also be an advantage, as would knowledge of current and developing Electric Vehicle and Aircraft technologies.
