JavaScript Developer-£40,000

JavaScript Developer/Leeds/£40,000 + Benefits

Location: Leeds

My client is looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviours with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

This is a Full Stack Developer role in a busy software development environment. The successful individual will have a desire to progress to a lead developer position guiding and leading the software development team.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in:

* JavaScript

* CSS or similar styling language

* Apache or other web server

* My SQL/SQL or similar query languages

* Working with MVC Frameworks

Preferable but not essential skills:

* Angular

* Experience in NetSuite or other ERP that uses a JavaScript based customisation language

* Node

* PHP

* C# (C sharp)

* jQuery

* Mobile app development for iOS and Android including hybrid development languages (React Native, Ionic, Cordova etc.)

Position responsibilities include:

* Deliver high-quality code following industry best practice and principle

* Working with others in the specifications for ongoing design and development of the software and new modules and producing designs to determine operational feasibility

* Experimenting with new techniques, tools and frameworks to keep us at the cutting edge

* Constantly seeking out ways to improve the platform and the way you work; ensuring these ways are implemented within the team

* Producing system documentation

* Capacity to grow into a team lead developer position providing mentoring and team management to other developers
