Job title: Lead Business Analyst/Product Specialist

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsible for: Supporting project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development

Responsibility for job appraisal: Operations Manager

Overall Purpose of job:

- Understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders

- Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders

- Identifying the current and futurestate business processes

- Helping the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future

Job Specification: Undertake Business Analysis duties:

- Developing thorough understanding of all products

- Supporting project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development

- Working on other project phases like implementation and testing

- Facilitating a successful release handover

- Estimating costs and time requirements of projects

- Evaluating risks and predicting potential problems

- Developing quality assurance practices and assessments

- Establishing deliverables

- Writing reports, instructions, wireframes and specifications, and creating flowcharts

- Responding to Tender documents

- Acting as a liaison between the business and its Information Technology (IT) department

- Acting as a liaison between the business and its clients

- Managing, Developing & Modifying the Product Road Map

- Facilitating meetings and workshops for team members

- Acquiring knowledge of products or services provided by the business

- Making sure projects stay within budget and target spending requirements

- Incorporating user suggestions into projects

- Giving final approval on a finished project

Main Responsibilities:

- Creating, analysing, and validating detailed functional specifications

- Facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution

- Delivering elements of systems design, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables

- Providing Functional Testing for our software systems

- Providing Customer Scenario Testing for our software systems

- To complete other tasks as required

- To understand products in order to be able to facilitate implementations as well as the designing of future enhancements

- Managing other business analysts
