Spring Technology is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer who can thrive in a busy project based environment, to be based in Birmingham on an initial 3 month contract, with potential to extend. Our client is undergoing a large amount of change currently, including large projects such as an impending datacentre move and a number of security focused projects. This particular role would be perfect for an engineer who has experience within fast moving projects, working with project managers, other engineers and even third parties.

Our client is looking to pay between £350-400 per day for this role, with a start date ASAP.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great team in a business undergoing a key project with tight deadlines, as they work towards migrating to two new data centre locations, along with a number of other projects in the portfolio. They are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer, to provide support and project based consultancy within the infrastructure changes needed for smooth migrations and infrastructure maintenance. This will be a diverse, hands on role, where you will work across teams to provide support and advice within the IT infrastructure. Our client has a diverse infrastructure mostly based on Windows servers, with some Linux, along with a range of VMware products, EMC storage is also used. This role may demand flexible working hours.

Essential Skills:

* Excellent history in infrastructure engineering, particularly on server side roles

* Windows 2008, 2012, 2016

* VMware ESXi, vCloud and VMware 5 & 6

* Red Hat Linux 6.x and 7.x

* Knowledge of EMC Storage - Vxblock, Unity, Networker and Recoverpoint
