Lead Data Architect (SQL Data Warehouse Data Modelling Python / Java ETL GCP). Would you like to remain hands on, take a lead role and work on complex and interesting systems using the latest technology within a modern cloud based environment?
As a Lead Data Architect you will help to define the strategic direction of the data platform, utilising your experience with data modelling to steer the thinking on how to restructure the data platform on premise and in the cloud to drive maximum data usage. You'll take ownership and communicate standards for how to structure, store and process data with a particular focus on Data Warehouse solutions to enable the business to scale further, move to cloud platforms and support Machine Learning pipelines.
Your time will be split between hands-on data engineering; mentoring data engineering teams on underlying methodologies and technical practices as well as business and stakeholder interaction.

Requirements:
*Advanced knowledge of Data Warehouse and Big Data platforms
*Strong Data Modelling experience having used a variety of frameworks and concepts
*Strong SQL skills
*Python and / or Java skills for data processing
*Experience of multiple different types of data pipelines from ETL and ELT to streams processing and REST API integration
*Stakeholder management experience; pragmatic with the ability to influence and communicate across the business
