Tier2/Tier3 Systems Engineer (Wintel Server support)

Location: Cape Town

Salary: competitive and dependant on experience.

Hours: 9/5 Monday to Friday.

A fantastic opportunity to work with one of our international clients as a junior systems engineer working primarily with in the maintenance of the Wintel server. This is a great opportunity in a company with a great company culture and prospects for progression.

The Right Candidate will:

-Troubleshoot, resole and diagnose technical incidents relating to Microsoft infrastructure (Windows server, AD, DNS etc.) primarily.

-Preform root cause analysis and remediation of problem record.

-Implement infrastructure changes

-Be the technical implementer of infrastructure projects.

-Carry out proactive maintenance, regular health checking and performance management.

-Liaise and closely work with ITIL process based teams such as incident management, change management and problem management.

-Use ITIM toolsets for tracking all work progress.

-Be Fluent in written and spoken English.

-Have a Strong Business etiquette.

-Be Passionate about customer satisfaction.

-Be Ambitious and motivated.

-Happy to work remotely without physical access to the infrastructure.

-Committed to personal and professional growth.

-Be able to travel to the UK (Valid passport).

-Be able to provide out of hours standby cover (on a rotational basis).

Key Technical Skills

- Extensive Windows server experience.

- Very strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

-Strong ability to resolve an diagnose technical issues.

- Experience in Active directory backend support (AD,DND,DHCP, Group policy).

-Knowledge of firewall behaviour, IP addressing, subnets and routing.

-Server Hardware management (IMPI) experience.

-VMware Knowledge.

-Citrix Xenapp/ Xenddesktop knowledge.

-MCSA/MCSE: Servr Administrator on Windows server 2008 or higher.
