Network Security Analyst Network Engineer /LAN/WAN, MPLS. Global Law Firm. 50 - 70k + Benefits

Security / Network Engineer / NOC Engineer / Infrastructure Analyst - LAN/WAN/MPLS. London, Permanent. 50 : 70k + Benefits. Network Engineer required by global organisation to provide SME security (80%) expertise, project delivery and BAU support for a 24 X 7 high availability global data network infrastructure.

You will be able to provide a high level of consultancy across a broad range of Cisco data networking technologies (routing, switching, streaming and security) and some input towards Wintel infrastructure supported by the global MPLS, WAN and regional LANs. Working within a global team, based in London, the Network Engineer / NOC Engineer will monitor and support existing Cisco based data network (and configure network load balancers : netscaler) resolving issues relating to LAN/WAN/VPN/VLAN/MPLS and critically technologies operating on a global basis including virtualised Wintel server technologies, storage solutions, and other related technologies. Load Balancing, routing and switching will therefore form a part of the role and an appreciation of datacentre focussed protocols across LAN/WAN/ Storage/Security processes required across next generation firewalls IPS and sandboxing technologies: Checkpoint; ZScaler.

The Network Engineer/Infrastructure Analyst will become involved with cloud based technologies; Azure; AWS working in a team to devise solutions which will be fit-for-purpose and integrate into existing solutions on a global basis. The role will be approx 50/50 split of project work to BAU and will require problem identification, diagnosis and resolution across both work-streams.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation and communication skills and hold CCNA/CCNP or similar qualification and ideally (not essential) a degree level education.
