Global Fintech Company operating within the Insurance Markets currently seeks an Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master to play a key role in the delivery and enhancements of a range of web based services for brokers and underwriters from a core platform.

The role is primarily focussed on the management, coaching, development and day-to-day leadership of a small team of developers working to deliver solutions based on Java, Groovy and Grails. The successful candidate will manage the team and project within an Agile methodology, from a client facing position but in a purely hands-off capacity. Experience having delivered Java based applications is essential but NO hands-on Java programming experience is necessary

The small team which you will manager is focussed on the core application development aspect but the team develop within the full stack of Java development within an Agile/Scrum environment employing TDD principles.

The Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master will allocate work load and work with the team to identify issues and ultimately select the best route to solve problems following recommendations from Senior Developers. You will act as the point of contact for the PMs, BAs, Technical architects as well as the clients and play a role within the strategic architectural decision making process to ensure solutions design are deliverable within the parameters of the technologies employed. You will also play a role in the setting of KPI`s for the team and the day-to-day operation management requirements.

We are searching for Agile Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Technical Leads who can demonstrate experience gained within a similar capacity where you will have managed teams of developers in a hands-off capacity. You may have been working within a Fintech Company, Insurtech Company, Insurance Company, Asset Management Company or Reinsurance Company, onsite via a Consultancy, Software House or elsewhere within the financial services arena but bring a combination of development management and leadership skills with strong technical understanding having delivered Java based apps (or similar) from an Agile Project Management perspective. Strong experience with Agile/Scrum employing TDD is essential. Excellent communication skills are pre-requisite.
