Solutions Architect

Manchester

£65,000 - £75,000 (DOE)

My client is recruiting for an enthusiastic Solutions Architect to join their team based in Manchester within the Financial Services Division. My client is hoping to hire a Solutions Architect who is commercially aware, able to estimate effectively and talk with the business in concepts that make sense to the business.

The successful candidates will undertake business analysis on medium complexity, medium risk projects, or work as part of a team working on high complexity, high risk, and business critical projects.

In this role you will be defining the solution architecture for medium-to-large scale delivery assignments in the Financial Services sector, producing solution option assessments for business cases (including solution costing). The role will also include taking responsibility for the integrity of the solution areas. Within this position you will be given the responsibility of supporting pre-sales activity and contribution to emerging centres of excellence in given areas of expertise

Experiences that would be good:

* Cloud migration

* Digital (self-service) projects delivered to multiple channels (incl. Web Portals)

* System integration projects across multiple technologies

* Application & Data migration

* IT Transformation projects (e.g. Legacy Modernisation)

Good combinations of these experiences would typically be:

* Digital (self-service) projects delivered to multiple channels + Systems integration

* IT Transformation + Systems Integration

* IT Transformation + Cloud Migration

Essential Skills/Experience

* Financial services domain knowledge including products and processes

* Payments systems and standards

* Digital User Experience approaches and technologies including Digital Service Design, UX/UI, and delivery across multiple channels and devices

* Business process engineering

* Java or .NET platforms and technologies.

* Knowledge of containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

Skills that would be good

* Payments systems and standards

* Digital User Experience approaches and technologies with Digital Service Design, UX/UI, and delivery across multiple channels and devices

* Financial services domain background knowledge including products and processes
