Software Test Engineer | Southampton | Up to 35,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a leading software solutions company, as they look to find a Software Test Engineer to join their team.

The ideal Software Test Engineer will sit in the development team and will work closely with fellow testers, developers, product managers and project manager; working on Point of Sale & Back-Office software products.

THE BASICS:

As Software Test Engineer you will be tasked with developing test plans and scripts, whilst performing exploratory testing on early-stage code and a wide range of other activities such as functional/ non-functional, regression and performance testing.

You will have the autonomy to advise the team about overall risks and trends and facilitate communication between the technical and business stakeholders.

THE SKILLS:

If you have several years experience in a Software Testing role within a Microsoft Windows environment, coupled with the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of a full systems development life cycle and the ability to interrogate a database using Microsoft Client tools (T-SQL) : identifying document defects, whilst carrying out test planning and procedures, then please apply TODAY!

Engineers who have worked in/on Scrum teams in sprints and can interact and communicate effectively with a wide audience of technical, non-technical stakeholders, at all levels will be sought after.

THE CONCLUSION:

If you are a Software Test Engineer with a strong knowledge of automated test scripts, Agile Systems Development Life Cycle Knowledge, ISEB testing skills/qualifications and a familiarity with functional and non-functional software requirements, with working knowledge of scripting/ programming in C# you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
