IT Field Support Manager
Field Based - UK Wide
Up to £65k base + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Our client is a highly established market leader who deliver a range of services to establishments throughout the UK and overseas. We have been asked to assist in the recruitment of a Field Support Manager who will join a growing and very dynamic division with clear market USPs. The company are looking to transform the way their Field Support Team works, and are moving from a regional based set-up, to a single UK-wide set-up. The Field Support Manager will initially be required to deliver exciting transformation and change within the business.
You will be taking responsibility for the Field Technical Services Team which consist of over 40 engineers, and 5 Team Lead's. You will build and shape the team into a single UK-wide force, introducing new processes and ways of working to create a more standardised operation across the UK. Your typical week will involve being on the road and travelling across the UK 3 days a week, and then spending 2 days a week working remotely (this can be from home). There will be a need to be at their HQ in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on occasions, especially in the early period.
The successful candidate may come from an MSP background with nationwide experience, managing teams of 40 and above. Ideally you will have worked on large scale transformations within tight timescales, and should also be commercially aware and able to manage a cost centre. An individual who has worked in pressured, and changing environments is going to be able to deliver these transformations successfully.
The hiring manager is looking for a passionate, driven and ambitious individual who at some point will have the ability to move into a more senior role at the appropriate time in the future.
Key Skills / Requirements
-Delivering Transformation / Change across a Field Technical Services Team
-Management of 40+ Engineers, and 5 Team Leads
-Experience within Process Improvement and Introducing Standardisation
-Extremely Strong People Management (Motivating, Influencing, Team Building)
-Confident to make important decisions independently
-UK-Wide Travel 3 Days per week / Remote Based working 2 Days per week
-Travel to customer locations UK-Wide (but predominantly in London, The Midlands and Northern England)
-Nationwide Managed Services Provider background will be beneficial
-An individual with ambition who is able to progress into a more senior position in the future
