Experis IT are currently recruiting for a Senior Business intelligence Developer to join one of our key Financial Services clients based in Solihull. Initially on a 12 month fixed term however it could be extended further or turn into a permanent opportunity.
The key purpose of the role will be to work within the Data Warehouse and Reporting team to enhance the SQL Data Warehouse, which holds key data from the core servicing platforms for the entire range of the Group's portfolios. The role will focus on regulatory reporting, ensuring the data for existing and new regulatory requirements are integrated into the data warehouse and the reports are generated directly from the warehouse.
* To maintain and develop the SQL code which provides the Data Warehouse facility, enabling delivery of all the Group's reporting and analysis
* Develop a good understanding of Group's core IT servicing platforms and portfolios in order to build a Data Warehouse to ringfence regulatory reporting.
* Document the entire Data Warehouse process, including the ETL processes, SQL procedures and database tables.
* Responsibility for testing new SQL code
* Work closely with the DW & Reporting Manager to ensure the Data Warehouse build is able to meet the analytical and reporting requirements of the business
Skills
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL development software
* Logical and systematic approach to problem solving and system design
* The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
* Strong mathematical and programming background
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications and experience
