SQL Database Developer (SQLite SQL Server PostgreSQL C++). Would you like to work on complex and interesting projects in an influential position where you can make the technical decisions and be based in a beautiful area of Surrey?
Market leading software house is seeking a highly technical SQL Database Developer to assess and recommend a new platform to replace the SQLite database currently in place.
The product is a complex software solution used for mission critical environments in the aviation, automotive and space exploration industries and is a high-performance, multi-threaded, web-server, server-side implemented in advanced C++ with extensive use of SQL.
The company is technology driven; you'll be working in an Agile TDD development environment with technical specialists. Offices based in leafy Surrey, easily commutable from the Weybridge / Walton on Thames / Hersham / Esher / Kingston area, short walk from the station and parking available.
Requirements:
*Advanced knowledge of databases / RDBMS; ideally will have broad experience across a range of platforms and technology (i.e. SQL, Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL, BerkeleyDB, MariaDB)
*Competency in Data Modelling; Database and XML Schema Design
*Ability to read C++ code / experience of databases connecting to C++ backend
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
