About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our highly skilled team with unrivalled engineering and technical skills.



We are looking for someone to undertake mechanical fitting activities, repairs and inspections on systems and equipment on all aspects of work completed within the estate and, when required, in other sections.



You will work on a variety of Mechanical systems throughout the site, from Boilers and Hot water Systems, mobile generators through to an on -site swimming pool and bowling alley



You will also be tasked with the completion of all planned preventative maintenance. The identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations and ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity. You will work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes.



What do I need to do the role?

We are looking for experience and knowledge on the majority of the following:

* Mechanical Systems and Equipment
* COSHH
* Risk Assessments



Experience with heating and Hot Water Systems advantageous

* Pressure Systems and Equipment
* Boilers
* Interpretation of engineering drawings
* Maintenance Documentation
* Safe systems of work
