Structural Engineer

£30'000-£35,000 + Ability to gain Chartership + Progression + Training + Pension + 28 days holiday

Excellent opportunity for a structural engineer to join a rapidly expanding company that will give you clear pathways to senior roles and have the ability to gain chartership status

This company specialises in structural engineering for domestic households and focus on extensions, conversions and new build projects. They work a wide range of bespoke projects giving there engineers the ability to technically develop.

In this role you will be required to assist with structural designs and projects within a domestic housing environment. You will undertake the Preparation of calculations, sketches and AutoCAD drawings for structural and civil, Preparation of design details for Cad

Technicians and also take instructions from clients, preparing quotations and issuing interim certificates and final accounts

The ideal candidate will have a degree in structural or civil engineering with 3 or more years gained as a structural engineer and any domestic household experience will be advantageous.

The Role:

*Preparation of calculations, sketches and AutoCAD drawings for structural and civil *engineering projects including steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry

*Use of computer programs for structural design

*Preparation of design details for Cad Technicians

*Liaison with clients, architects, contractors, insurance companies, general public, local authorities and statutory bodies as necessary

*Taking instructions from clients, preparing quotations and issuing interim certificates and final accounts

*Checking drawings and calculations prepared by specialist sub-contractors e.g. steel fabrication drawings

*Undertaking site surveys, investigations, building surveys and writing reports

*Site visits for surveys, inspections and contract supervision

The Person:

*Structural or civil degree

*3+ years gained as a structural engineer

*Domestic household background advantageous

*Keen to learn and want progression
