Senior Structural Engineer

£45,000 - £55,000 + Progression + Holiday + Pension

Excellent opportunity for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join a growing company with opportunities for technical development and long term progression into a partnership role.

This company specialises in structural engineering for domestic households and focus on extensions, conversions and new build projects. They work a wide range of bespoke projects giving there engineers the ability to technically develop.

In this role you will be required to oversee all structural designs and projects within a domestic housing environment ensuring they're delivered accurately and on time, liaison with clients, architects, contractors, insurance companies, general public, local authorities and statutory bodies as necessary.

The ideal candidate Chartered Structural Engineer from a domestic background and degree qualified. Preferably worked on new build, extension and conversion projects.

The Role:

*Preparation of calculations, sketches and AutoCAD drawings for structural and civil engineering projects including steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry

*Preparation of design details for Cad Technicians

*Liaison with clients, architects, contractors, insurance companies, general public, local authorities and statutory bodies as necessary

*Taking instructions from clients, preparing quotations and issuing interim certificates and final accounts

*Undertaking site surveys, investigations, building surveys and writing reports

*Site visits for surveys, inspections and contract supervision

*Issue of site instructions, certificates and contract correspondence

*Compliance with Health & Safety and CDM Regulations and preparation of associated documentation

*Advising the Partners on the progress of projects and any problems encountered

The Person:

*Chartered Structural Engineer

*Structural or civil degree

*Domestic housing background
