Job title: Junior Software Developer

Location: Croydon (near East Croydon Station)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Mon to Fri, 1 Year FTC

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum

The Role:

Joining HCML as a junior software developer, you’ll work in a hands-on role as part of our team of experienced .NET Core and Angular developers, developing software used by HCML’s case managers and our treatment partners when helping our clients rehabilitate after suffering injuries - often life changing ones.

You’ll work across the entire stack - IIS, SQL, .NET Core and Angular 2+ - on your own user stories, either independently or pairing with one of the team.

You’ll take part in our Scrum lifecycle as an integral member of our daily scrums, planning sessions, retrospectives and backlog sessions. You’ll join for an initial period of one year, with potential to progress to a permanent role.

You:

You’ll have 6-12 month’s commercial experience - and might be a recent graduate or have completed a recent apprenticeship. You’ll have strong ASP.NET/C# and JavaScript skills and experience with T-SQL.

You’ll have a passion for picking up and using new technology & architecture patterns and you’ll be keen on developing applications using a microservices approach. You might have an interest in technologies like SignalR and Redis, platforms like Microsoft Azure, or containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

You’ll want to be part of a fun but professional team and enjoy continually delivering quality software to our staff and partners to help them in their roles.

You’ll have excellent verbal and written English and will be comfortable liaising directly with our users about their requirements when required.
