Technical Solutions Architect - Central London - Up to £120,000

Purpose of Position

The Technical Architect plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company's technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap. The Architect partners with both business and technology groups to ensure that the proposed technical solutions not only align with the company's overall objectives, but also ensures that both groups enable and drive each other to meet the needs of the company's mission and vision.

Key Accountabilities

* Build the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT systems architecture

* Align IT strategy and planning with the company's business goals and objectives

* Seamlessly integrate business and service strategy into architecture roadmap

* Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions

* Lead the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects

* Partner with other solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution

* Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company

* Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows

* Manage and facilitate a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit

* Circulate roadmaps to align business partner and IT priorities

* Work with 3rd party technical resources to assist in delivery of technical solutions

* You are responsible for fully complying with the company's policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills required

* Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and financial analysis

* Experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps

* Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements

* Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions (e.g. VMware, Citrix)

* Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering

* Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong project management and organisation skills
