About the role

Here in Babcock International we are looking for a Senior Oracle Developer to lead an Oracle development team based out of our Keynsham site. Within the solutions team, you will deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise, with products including database applications through to big data and analytics. You will be a core member of the development team leading the design and development of software solutions.

You will be leading a team of four Oracle Developers during an update to Oracle 12c. Your principal tasks will also include efficient Oracle software development, conducting unit testing and ensuring code reuse and efficiency. You will also attend workshops and reviews, prepare documentation and review the work of your development team.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to have a proven background as a Senior Oracle Developer with team leadership experience. You technical experience will include Oracle web application development, development of PL/SQL code, Forms/Reports and Oracle APEX development. Experience of the full end to end software development lifecycle is essential.

What else do I need to know about the role?

* You will work a 37.5 hour week Monday-Friday with flexible start and finish times

* All applicants must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance

* Keynsham train station is a 15-20 minute walk away
