Senior App Designer
Salary - £450 per day, negotiable
3-6months
Your primary goals will be to design the next generation of mobile websites, apps and other mobile interfaces across multiple devices such as iOS and Android platforms. We need a strong Senior App Designer to contribute to and help shape these digital propositions. You will be responsible for the User Interface design and the User Experience of our 17 apps (and growing) portfolio. Our Apps will be leading our digital strategy with large investment into its success as we move into the digital space. This role required a hardworking, motivated and deadline driven individual who advocates user-centred design and uses data and insights to inform their decisions.
Key Accountabilities
* Conceptualise, develop and design innovative interaction designs, navigation and prototypes of our Apps
* Develop User Interface designs using knowledge of task flows, functionality requirements, Information Architecture, UI best practice and industry/company native interface standards
* Collaborate with UX, BA's, PO's and development teams to ensure that the integrity of the experience is maintained through launch
* Clearly communicate User Experience principles and design decisions to stakeholders and project team members
* Champion user-centred design and usability principles
* Run and facilitate user research activities and present findings back to stakeholders and team members
* Help run and facilitate in workshop and focus group activities
* Contribute to new briefs and help shape the experience
Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
* Extensive experience and a strong portfolio showcasing projects worked on and the results of your work.
* Expert knowledge in the use of Sketch, InVision, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
* Expert knowledge of UX and UI design and the principles when designing for native devices
* Confident communicator with solid writing and visual communication skills
* Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools to demonstrate your design approach
* Experience with iterative testing to validate designs
DESIRABLE
* Good analytical skills
* Understanding of Accessibility standards (W3C)
* Experience working within an Agile team (SCRUM/KANBAN)
