Job Title: Senior Application Support Analyst, IT Team

Location: Shilton Road, Burford, Oxon

Contract Type: Permanent, full time

Grade: 4.1

What is the role?

As a Senior Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for the continuity and development of solutions that are included in our client’s Applications Portfolio. You’ll deal with the more complex support matters, be the lead SQL technician and mentor the Support Analysts within the team.

The core objective of the role is to provide expert guidance, direction and support for appropriate solutions within the organisation. You will achieve this by engaging with product stakeholders and ensure solutions help them achieve their strategic goals and those of the organisation.

This is a full time role of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, due to the nature of the work of our client, and this post, it will be necessary to exceed these hours when the work load demands. Travel to other sites will be required from time to time.

What is required?

Our client is looking for people with the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computing or other relevant field

- Demonstrable experience working in an IT applications support capacity

- Enthusiastic, proactive approach to tasks, people and learning

- Experience with Office 365 & SharePoint Online - administering SharePoint Sites & collections, SharePoint Designer, workflows and InfoPath forms.

- Proficient SQL skills - T-SQL (SP, Views, SSRS, SSIS). Transaction Log backups, Data Transmission (FTP, automation/Web services, XML).

- Aptitude to think analytically

- Keen attention to detail

- Meticulous approach to documenting: Processes, Knowledge Base Articles, Help Sheets etc.

- Ability to take initiative and confidently provide solid technical guidance

- Ability to problem solve and define appropriate solutions

- Excellent organisational and project management skills

- Ability to build good working relationships within their organisation and their external suppliers

It would also be great if you had:

- Working knowledge of some or all of the following:

- CRM solutions

- Clinical/veterinary practice management systems

- Financial/ERP applications

- Business Intelligence applications

- Proficiency with some or all of the following:

- SQL Server administration

- PowerShell

- PowerApps

- Power BI

- MCDBA, MCITP, SharePoint or other relevant Microsoft certifications
