Analyst and Reporting Manager (Telco)
Would you like the opportunity to be a part of a joint venture with BT? The client is leading the market in fixed mobile convergence and is looking to double in size, moving from a start-up into an SME.
Starting salary: up to £55,000 + 10% + bonus
Location: Hatfield

Overview: To lead the Business Systems Support (BSS) team's strategy of "getting value from data" by being the technical point of expertise within the team. Engage with key stakeholders to scale the business systems, to offer further resilience, bring in High Availability (HA) and business case recommendations for systems and the usefulness of data.
Skills: Relevant experience within a large-scale data environment, Fluent in Structured Query Language (SQL), Linux Operating System (OS) experience, Oracle experience are vital. Other languages are a benefit, such as Python, as well as experience with visualisation tools or database tools such as Cassandra. Proficient in application/software architecture (Definition, Business Process Modelling, etc. Knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization
Experience:
* Ideally a postgraduate degree in computer sciences or equivalent education
* Relevant experience within a large scale data environment
* Fluent in Structured Query Language (SQL), Linux Operating System (OS) experience, Oracle experience are vital.
* Other languages are a benefit, such as Python, as well as experience with visualisation tools or database tools such as Cassandra.
* Proficient in application/software architecture (Definition, Business Process Modelling, etc.)
* Knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization
* Familiarity with systems, networks and storage
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
* Proficient in stakeholder engagement with the ability to communicate complex scenarios to stakeholders and customers at various levels
* Competent in prioritising and organising workload with minimal supervision.
* Great attention to detail required to identify and spot any discrepancies.
* A team player who is able to work using own initiative.
* Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
