This established and dynamic financial services organisation are seeking a professional, challenge orientated and focused IT Systems Engineer with the capability or who has the aspiration to lead a team of 4 x IT Engineers to ultimately enhance their client-side server support services.

This role is technical first and foremost with functional team leading second.

If you have not been in a Team Leading or Supervisory role previously, the client will be more than happy to offer you a "Team Leading Training Program" to aid and assist your potential as a leader.

This role is pivotal but challenging, diverse and rewarding and will offer you an opportunity to grow technically as the breadth of in-house technology and pipelined projects are substantial.

As the Technical Team Leader and "Server Specialist" you will be working in a fast-paced environment with new hardware and software technologies with several major technical projects imminent.

The person required will require tenacity, patience, teamwork and the flexibility to go the extra mile and offer a 1st class customer experience.

Day to day you will lead a team of 6 staff who are tasked with the support over 1,300 users in a Microsoft Data Centre and your key responsibilities will include all Server configurations 2008/20012/2016, SCOM and SCCM, Active Directory, VMware or Hyper-V, CommVault Backup or Veeam or NetBackup or BackupExec, Storage, MS Office 365 and/or MS Azure.

You will be required to understand major technical development direction of suppliers within own sphere of expertise. You will manage server and desktop environments to agreed availability and performance targets, plus ensure auditable adherence to DPA, ISO27001 and other applicable legislation and standards.

Key technical experience required will involve around:

* Extensive Windows Server 2008 and 2012 with Sever 2016 expertise highly desirable

* High-level exposure to Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy

* Expert knowledge of System Centre SCCM and SCOM

* Expert knowledge of Virtualisation VMware and/or Hyper-V

* Good working experience of backup technologies

* MS Cloud, Azure, Office 365, AWS

* Microsoft Windows7, 8, and 10

* SCCM 2012 and 2016

* WSUS, DHCP, DNS

* CommVault Backup or Veeam or NetBackup or BackupExec

* MS Office 2016
