2nd Line Support Engineer Westminster, London Are you an experienced 1st and 2nd line support professional with a passion for delivering an excellent service? Want to take on an exciting role where you can get stuck into a range of technical issues, support a dedicated 1st line team and facilitate the success of a prestigious institution? If so, read on. The Company: Our client has been at the heart of the mechanical engineering profession since 1847. They strive to improve the world through engineering by developing engineers, promoting engineering, informing opinion and encouraging innovation. They are now looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team and support their infrastructure from their Westminster headquarters. The Role: Acting as the first point of contact for technical issues, you will: - Support around 200 employees across three sites from our client's London office - Provide both 1st and 2nd line support - Log incidents using the FreshService helpdesk system - Support desktop and mobile infrastructure - Provide technical expertise to colleagues for the Windows environment - Investigate operational problems - Identify ways to enhance our client's technology services - Deploy new user equipment and performing customer handovers About You: To be considered as a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you'll need experience of providing 1st line support, as well as experience in a 2nd line support role. You'll also need experience of the following as a minimum: - Using remote access tools - Windows 7 to 10 - Active Directory and Group Policy - Any anti-virus - MS Office 2013 onwards - iOS mobile devices - Window Server 2003 to 2016 Experience of automated build technologies would be highly beneficial to your application, as our client plans to use these in the future. Experience of the Mitel phone system would also be an advantage, as would previous experience of working in an organisation of a similar size (circa 200 employees).
