We require the ElasticSearch consultant to work on the following deliverables:

Infrastructure

Commissioning of server(s) and Software Installation to clientStandards to enable other deliverables

ELK Web Dashboard

Set up apache log ingest of all SHERPA logs. Build a real-time usage dashboard using Kibana.

SHERPA Datasets Import

Import all public SHERPA records from EPrints into ElasticSearch indexes. The data model should be robustly configured, and in such a way as future changes are manageable. All datasets need to be kept in sync with our primary data store in EPrints.

EPrints Integration for Search and Browse

Work with the SHERPA Development Team to integrate ElasticSearch suggestions and results into the EPrints user interface.

EPrints Integration for API endpoints

Using the existing SHERPA Object Retrieval API endpoint as a specification, create a functionally identical endpoint that uses ElasticSearch. Technical constraints and language choices to be discussed with the SHERPA Development Team.
