Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Content Designer for an initial 2 month contract based in Edinburgh on a rate of c.£275-£325/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Work with minimal supervision to create and iterate content for end-to-end services that makes complex language and processes easy to understand and directs others in the pursuit of this as needed.

* Understands and implements as needed appropriate content styles and standards.

* Identifies, analyses, manages and monitors relationships with and between stakeholders, using evidence to explain decisions made and balancing competing priorities.

* Leads the design and implementation of content strategies, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business requirements are being met.

* Analyses user research and data to understand users, identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.

* Prioritises and defines approaches to understanding user stories, guiding others in doing so, and proposes design approaches or services to meet these needs.

* Offers recommendations on the best content design tools and methods to use.

Requirements:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey user behaviour, research methods and content subject matter to colleagues and senior members of staff.

* Experience writing for the web with proven ability to create content that is both accessible and usable and with an understanding of various standards.

* Experience establishing a publishing flow with responsibility for all fact checking and on-going accountability for error checking.

* Experience interacting with others to learn about content subject matter.

* An ability to articulate the benefits of a user-centric approach to content creation.

* Experience using predefined taxonomy and meta-data when creating content.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of using publishing tools and content management systems.

* Experience working in a public sector environment.

* Experience of technical writing.
