We are looking for 2 senior developers at MOJ Digital & Technology. You will be developing tools and designing systems that support the continuous delivery of web systems that make a genuine difference to people's lives. You'll make sure we build things the right way, keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends, whilst delivering working software early and often.
The two roles are:
Cloud Platform team - we need experience of agile development in Ruby, Python, Java or similar and a good working knowledge of modern back end web MVC frameworks. You'll also have some knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, other languages and technologies as required.
Tactical products team - You will have experience of agile development in Java, .NET and SQL Server, a good working knowledge of cloud hosting and modern backend MVC frameworks, as well as an understanding of front end development in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. You'll also have some knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, other languages as required e.g. Python, Ruby, or similar.
Both teams need an understanding of version control (ideally with Git) is essential, as is an awareness of automated testing techniques, modern deployment approaches and how cloud infrastructure (predominantly AWS and Azure) is managed.
