Data Scientist required to join well established and growing software and services company based in Horsham. This Data Scientist role will work on complex data problems and offer solutions and consultancy to clients in the defence, government and utility sectors. The company develops software products in spatial data infrastructures, data science, Web Services and specialist GIS technology, and has been doing so for more than 20 years.

For this Data Scientist role you should have the following skills and experience

                     Education to degree level in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Data Science or GIS

                     Experience in data analysis and transformation

                     2+ years' experience in Software or Systems Engineering

                     Experience with client relationships

                     Experience with Big Data technologies eg Nifi, Kafka, Hadoop, HBase

                     Systems design and development

Excellent communication skills are required, you will be talking to technical and non-technical people. You should also have an understanding of the software development process and data visualisation.
