Java Developer Enigma People Solutions is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Java developer to join one of our newest clients. Our client is an industry leader in smart document collaboration software used by over 250,000 customers including industry leaders such as IBM, Deloitte and FedEx. With four sites worldwide, they are currently looking for new talent to join a growing team of skilled, personable and down to earth engineers that enjoy working in a collaborative and respectful environment and experience great leadership. To be of interest you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, experience and skills. Responsibilities: Writing maintainable and scalable code and fixing bugs for a document management web application Liaising with Product Managers and Test team to ensure product features meet requirements Participating in project estimation and scoping exercises. Core Skills & Qualifications: - Excellent Team player who can work effectively as part of a cross functional team Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding how best to implement robust, reliable, and maintainable solutions
- Ability to work independently as well as to follow instructions of lead developers and Product managers Comfort working within a rapidly changing environment of Agile Methodologies
- Understanding of Design Patterns, Software Principles and Best Practices Technical: - Experience of 3+ years in a similar role
- Commercial software development experience in Java
- Commercial software development experience in PHP (versions 5 - 7)
- Experience with using Version Control Tools (git) in a multi discipline team environment Server configuration (Ubuntu/AWS), Command Line Tools, Configuration Management, Orchestration Tools, and Virtualised Environments Understanding of Data Stores Testing Tools and Principles Degree in computer science or any other science field Familiar with Linux environment
